Welcome. All of us who are connected to the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence are glad you have chosen to visit our website. If you have come to this site seeking information, help and guidance for yourself or another person, you have come to the right place. We are here to provide support to those who need assistance confronting the disease of alcoholism and drug dependence.
Recovery is possible. In fact, we estimate that almost 20 million individuals and families are living life in recovery!
For over 70 years, NCADD has been a valuable resource for millions of people struggling with addiction. Our founder, Marty Mann, was a true pioneer. Marty got sober in the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. When AA was just getting started in 1935, Marty’s sponsor was AA co-founder, Bill Wilson. Marty exuded courage and unwavering belief in the dignity of all people. She worked tirelessly to provide education to raise the awareness of addiction across our society.
So, now that you have found us, let us guide you to places that provide basic facts, to places that will help you define your particular problem, to individuals in your community who possess the knowledge and resources to counsel and help you.
There is help, there is hope and there is healing!
